First Shots™: Firearms Orientation for New Shooters

Curious about firearms but not sure where to start? First Shots™ is a nationally recognized introductory firearms program designed specifically for people with little to no shooting experience. BF Guns & Gear is proud to partner with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) to bring this safe, educational, and welcoming event to our community.

Whether you've never handled a firearm before or you're looking to build confidence in a safe environment, this event is the perfect first step into the shooting sports.

What You'll Learn

Our experienced instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of safe and responsible firearm ownership, including:

• The four universal rules of firearm safety

• Firearm components and how they operate

• Safe handling, loading, and unloading procedures

• Proper grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control

• Basic marksmanship fundamentals

• Safe firearm storage and responsible ownership

• Range etiquette and safety procedures

Live Fire Experience

Following the classroom instruction, you'll head to the range where you'll have the opportunity to safely fire beginner-friendly firearms under the close supervision of certified instructors. Individual coaching ensures every participant receives personalized guidance and builds confidence at their own pace.
